Apache is available for adoption. We purchased Apache at auction in May 2009 to prevent him from shipping out of state to slaughter. Although Apache was in training at a local racetrack, he never worked or raced. This gentle giant is substantially built, broad and tall, completely sound as per our vet (report and xray evaluation available upon request), and his only conformational defect is that his knees are a little flat. Our vet assessed Apache as being suitable for all disciplines other than racing of any type (barrels, endurance, track) and cross-country competition. Dressage, hunters/jumpers, and pleasure disciplines are all within Apache's physical capabilities. He is being adopted out as racebroke or greenbroke only, and is currently doing intensive ground and roundpen work. He is sweet, easy to handle, and ready for a loving permanent home. He is up to date on shots, worming, farrier, and dental work. Apache will be adopted to an experienced rider/home only or an adopter working with an experienced trainer. Please call Jackie at (951) 768-2043 to discuss a possible adoption of Apache, and for more details. Apache is located at our adoption center in Apple Valley, California.
Adoption Fee: $650
