This is the second in a series of limited
edition Santa Anita collector's plates. The 1997 edition
honors jockey Laffit Pincay, Jr., who is the all-time leading
jockey by races won at Santa Anita Park with 3,019 races
through the 1995-1996 Santa Anita meet. Laffit is illustrated
here aboard Harbor View Farm's Affirmed, winning the 1979
Strub Stakes. The original oil painting is by southern
California artist Patty Kessel.
