We are fortunate and grateful to have three equine artists among our friends, Christine Picavet and Dagmar Galleithner, who are supporting our efforts to rescue thoroughbreds by offering to donate a percentage of the proceeds from sales of some of their work. In addition, we are extremely grateful to equine artist Fred Stone, for his donation of an artist's proof which we are selling through our webstore.
Equine artist Christine Picavet has supported SCTR from its infancy, by permitting us to use as a logo an image of her painting of a beautiful daughter of Vaguely Noble, also the sire of the ill-fated Exceller. Christine has also generously offered to donate $500 of the $1995 price tag of the beautiful framed painting "Bluegrass Baby" of a thoroughbred foal in Kentucky, an 11x14 piece in oil on Belgium linen canvas which is currently available for sale:

Christine will also donate 10% of the proceeds of any commissioned painting up to $2,000 per commission, and 10% of the proceeds of existing artwork, when you mention Southern California Thoroughbred Rescue. The donations can be made directly to SCTR by the client. Please visit Christine's website, at www.christinepicavet.com.
We are extremely grateful to equine artist, and SCTR friend and donor, Dagmar Galleithner who has offered to donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of her beautiful pastel painting "Zenyatta, Mike Smith Up" and her pastel portrait of Barbaro, "Barbaro and Messaging".
